The flexible hoses allow a range of adjustment to almost any angle and its unique design saves space under the sink. It fits virtually every sink - including single and double sinks - and is compatible with both left and right side garbage disposals. SnappyTrap is made with durable, temperature-resistant PVC. Corrugated P-traps often cause food and other debris to accumulate. SnappyTrap’s specially designed smooth interior stays clean and clear, allowing for faster flow, and reducing the occurrence of a clogged drain. This reduces the amount of time and effort needed for installation, unlike traditional wastewater drainage systems, which are made from rigid pipe that have to be cut to size. Snappy Trap comes in an all-in-one, pre-assembled kit. Buy it for your sink, or whatever diy projects it would go well with. All Snappy Trap products are guaranteed against defects in materials or workmanship and replacement will be at no cost to the buyer. Sometimes my hands give me trouble gripping and tightening things so if I can install the snappy trap system in a bathroom sink and other diy projects, I think it'd be easy as pie for most other people.īuy this. (Although a better shopvac would be a nice bonus!) Until then, the system I've got does the job just fine. I do plan on purchasing a longer hose for the shopvac so I don't need to Frankenstein multiple hoses together from various vacuums (□□□) but companies want you to pay ridiculous prices for even mid-quality shopvac hoses and I have more important priorities to spend money on, so that'll have to wait. I definitely recommend these fitting for plumbing and for quick connect capabilities on a shopvac, but as for using it to extent length/reach on shopvac hoses: I recommend to only do that in a pinch/temporary bc your shopvac will work better the less bends, curves, and fittings you have connected to it (there are acceptions to this depending on the hose, etc., but for best results, always do your own research). ![]() Also used some of the fittings to connect an additional hose to extend my reach sanding. The second purchase on Amazon was to add a fitting to my shopvac and also to a couple sanders for quick connect capabilities to the dust cyclone hose. I used leftover parts from the bathroom sink project, which saved me time going to the store or waiting for parts in the mail. Works great and saved me $ on expensive quick connect shopvac fittings.Īlso saved me $/time bc I was in a pinch and wanted to finish my dust collector ASAP. Snappy trap fittings are smooth on the inside and prevent wood dust/sheetrock dust from clogging. Plenty of videos on the internet about diy cyclone dust separators/ dust collector systems you should check out if you don't want your house covered in dust or even worse, breath in the dust or get it into your eyes (yes I use eye protection and wear a mask but somehow that dust would get to me like a magnet). The snappy trap fittings fit all my shopvac hoses, also regular vacuum hoses too. I followed up w JB Weld later just because), screws, and probably some other stuff I'm forgetting but it's an inexpensive project anyone could diy. I also used snappy trap fittings for a quick connect for my shopvac to a diy cyclone dust collector: 1x bucket w/lid, 1x $1.50 double insulated plastic cup w/lid from Walmart, and some super glue (what I had on-hand at the time. It's been holding strong for about a year now with no issues. I've purchased this in the past at a local box store to fix my bathroom sink. The only bad thing is they don't provide tracking, but the guy who did the delivery was from Amazon I believe so it will come, mine came one day before expected delivery. Just make sure everything is tight with the clamps. My superintendent was so shocked and impressed he asked me to forward the invoice to the building since its now saving them money, he thinks it won't break for years so this job is gooood to go! Thank you to this company as buying a universal p drain, measuring, cutting(a second time) and taping/clamping would have cost a few dollars more and I am happier with this as it can be disassembled in five minutes. Though I didn't do it correctly first and needed to use the extender for the sink to bring it as high as possible. ![]() Later that day the parts arrived and I was able to install it in about 25 minutes. This system worked amazing!!!! One day my superintendent was looking at me like he was going to kill me and when I told him parts were otw, he told me it was impossible and we needed a plumber. I taped the existing pipe and used an angle grinder with a diamond blade to make the cut on the existing pipe. I found a new ceramic sink top on Kijiji for $50 and I needed to replace piping because my building is a mess and the old p drain is glued into the main pipe. Recently repainted apartment and totally redid the bathroom.
